Hazel

I am currently in foster and here's what my foster Mum says about me!

She has an energy that results in everyone who meets her falling in love with her! She is like my little shadow at home and follows me around the house.

She is quite shy and timid around certain things but has already grown in confidence in the few weeks she has been on foster with me.

She presents herself as an older, calmer dog and I think she just hasn't had the chance to be a proper dog or a puppy.

She is completely house trained and has had no accidents since arriving.

She is fine to be left for a few hours and does not chew or bark.

She absolutely loves food and enjoys snuffle and licky mates and is learning how to play with toys.

She will steal food if left out within her reach - she just cannot resist the temptation!

Hazel is looking for a quiet home - she would not cope with a noisy and busy household.

Hazel will let you do anything with her, even if she is uncomfortable (for example she needed to be bathed when she arrived and although she was unsure, she did not resist) So her new owners need to be able to read her body language to help reassure her when she is worried.

She will come over for a fuss and will paw you for a fuss - but she is not a cuddly girl who will lay on your lap on the sofa. She likes to sleep on the armchair next to me and will happily sleep downstairs on her own at night.

She walks beautifully on the lead and gets excited when her harness comes out before a walk.

Hazel is great with other dogs - playful with some and submissive with others. She would benefit from living with another calm and confident dog of similar size but females only. She has been over bred and does not want to live with any male dogs now.

She does not bark much - just occasionally if she hears something in the garden, or see's a fox or a squirrel.

Hazel cannot live with cats or small furries!

She travels well in the car and is a perfect patient at the vets!

I will miss her so much when she leaves but she deserves a furever home of her own, where someone is at home more to give her the amazing life she deserves!
