Hello everyone, my name is Molly Moo and I am a cheeky little pupster. I came to SEDR as my family found me too inquisitive and engaging with the resident cat. I am just a baby and need a family who is prepared to put in time to guide me into adulthood and beyond. The rescue did find me a home but unfortunately, I did not slot in as hoped. However, much more is known about my needs now that I have been in a family home.
I am a 7 month old Staff pup (with a bit of Lurcher thrown in for flavour!). I am vaccinated and microchipped but I am too young to spay yet. Therefore, my new family will be required to spay me under a contract from the rescue.

I currently live with an older dog but I am far too much for him, often taunting him or nipping his legs when he is trying to sleep away the afternoon. Therefore, whilst I can live with another dog, it will need to be a confident dog who will enjoying playing with me yet at the same time, is assertive enough to tell me to stop being a bloody pest!! Any resident dogs must be spayed/neutered and my friends at SEDR will require evidence of this.
I absolutely love meeting other dogs on my walks and am friendly to all whom I meet. I also adore meeting people but do have a tendency to jump up (to be fair, all the people who meet me encourage me to do it, so what is a pupster to do?!).
Whilst I do love children, SEDR will rehome me with children over 10 only. This is because I need a family who can be fully committed to working on my training and ensuring that I am confident to be left alone on my own. However, it would be fine for younger, dog-savvy children to come and visit me.
I am mostly house-trained but may have the occasional accident (after all, I am still a baby!). However, if you ensure that I get out regularly and am rewarded for doing my diddles outside, I'll pick up a routine in no time!

I would love a secure garden as I love to have a mad dash when I feel like it!
Unfortunately, I have a very high prey-drive due to my Lurcher instincts so I cannot live with cats, small furries or any farm animals. I also must not live or be let off-lead near livestock as I have shown too much interest in sheep in the foster home.

I have also exhibited signs of considerable seperation anxiety and my foster home have resorted to sleeping with me at night to stop my crying and howling. However, I do sleep in my crate at night with the door closed so if a new family are prepared to work on desensitising me to being left alone, progress can be made. This will take time though so if you are not committed to working on this with me, don't apply!!
I also eat my food incredibly quickly (so quickly in fact that I try to push the resident foster dog out of the way to eat his!). Therefore, a new home will need to introduce tools into my life to stop me being such a greedy bugger, such as an anti-gulp food bowl.
I have no current or past health issues.
All in all, I am a wonderful little pupster who needs a family that will be committed to me for life. You will need to be willing to work on my training and leaving me on my own gradually so that I do not get too scared. However, if you put the hard work in, you will be rewarded with a faithful, lifelong companion.
If you meet the criteria above, please let the hoomans at SEDR know by filling out a form below.
Lots of tail wags and sloppy kisses,
Molly Moo xxx
