Whizz

Hi everyone!

My name is Whizz and I am an 8 year old springer spaniel looking for my furever home!

Don't be fooled by my age - I have the energy of a young dog and am looking for an active home!

I am dog friendly and would like to live with another dog of similar size who is happy to be friends... but is ok with me not wanting to play. 

I am being fostered with cats

I am great with children and can live with older sensible children. I have been known to pick up or chew things left on the floor, so you’ll need to be vigilant.  

I am a super loving and friendly girl who arrived at SEDR as an unclaimed stray. I love everyone I meet and will be your most loyal and faithful friend! 

I have been vaccinated and neutered and have had a benign lump removed.

My fosterer is working on my house training so you will need to be prepared for some accidents and be happy to keep up with the reminders and rewards! 

I am a busy girl who loves to be on the go! If you are up and about indoors, I will be up and about with you. But once you sit down and relax.... I will do the same!!

I was extremely strong on the lead when I first arrived, but my fosterer has worked hard on my training and I now walk nicely on the lead on road walks.. But my excitement at the field or beach gets the better of me... and then I will pull and get very excited! 

I have zero recall off-lead so this is definitely a work in progress!

I am crate trained and happy to be left for a few hours each day but would prefer to be with someone all of the time. 

I absolutely love the car and am a perfect patient at the vets.

Due to not having recall off-lead, I will need a garden.. and either some of my walks in a secure field, or walks on a long line to keep me well exercised! You will need to be an active home but also enjoy cuddles with me on the sofa when the day is done!!
