Meet Yumi, 

Yumi is an 8 week old, partially sighted chow chow puppy. She has ended up in rescue through no fault of her own and is looking for dedicated new owners.

Yumi’s new owners will need to have experience with blind dogs and have preferably owned one before. 

Due to Yumi having considerable sight issues her new owners will need to be prepared financially to cover any vet fees associated with this in the future as it is unlikely insurance will cover this.  

She will also need regularly grooming which can be expensive.

Yumi will be rehomed on a neutering contract where her furever family will need to provide proof of neutering at an appropriate age.

- Yumi needs another tolerant dog in the home that doesn’t mind a boisterous puppy to guide her 

- Older children over 14 ( due to her sight issues and being easily startled) 

- Yumi has met a cat and didn’t show any interest and is young enough to adapt to them in the home 

- Owners that are around a lot of the time due to her age 

- Time to dedicate to training a blind dog 

Chow chows are a very specific breed and a knowledge of their temperament is preferable.
